Room two · Pipes & Pipe Tobacco

The case, and the wall of jars behind it.

The largest selection of fine pipes in Colorado, new alongside an estate case, with house blended tobacco kept in glass so you can smell it before you buy.

New briar, estate finds, and a case worth the drive

Oak and glass cabinets run along the brick, holding new pipes next to an estate case of second hand and vintage finds. People drive across the metro for the estate case specifically, because what's in it changes and nobody else in Colorado carries this much of it.

Sample before you buy

Behind the case is the tobacco wall: tinned blends alongside our own, mixed in house and kept in jars along the shelf. Open one. Smell it. Pipe tobacco isn't something you should have to buy blind, so we keep the free jars out for exactly that reason.

What turns up in the case

Estate pipes don’t repeat.

What’s in the estate case today won’t be there next month. Here’s what three different people walked out with.

A first briar

One customer came in with a budget in mind and left with an estate Larsen pipe, a Danish maker he didn't know he had any connection to until the staff mentioned it. It's the kind of find the estate case turns up.

The Ashton Billiard

Somebody stopped in just to look at pipes and tobacco and walked out with a beautiful Ashton Billiard from the estate case, plus some finely aged Virginia tobacco to break it in with.

Two meerschaums and a half pound

Another regular calls it the best pipe tobacco selection in the Denver metro area, full stop. He came home with two meerschaum pipes and a half pound of our Drury Lane blend in the same visit.

Blended in house

Twelve blends, and the jars stay open.

These are ours, mixed on site rather than shipped in a tin. Drury Lane is the one people ask for by name, but the wall runs a lot further than that.

  • Drury Lane
  • Rivendayle
  • Indian Peaks
  • Ptarmigan Lake
  • Jamaican Sunset
  • Highlands Mist
  • Cherry Delight
  • Ambrosia
  • Coco Creme
  • Irish Creme
  • Raspberry Creek
  • Arwin's Star

Alongside those, the bulk jars run to Corsair, Buccaneer, Scottish Moor, Brandywine, German Gold, Black Watch, Balkan Supreme, Good Company, Lancaster and Honey Cavendish. Tinned tobacco is in the case too, if you already know your brand.

Ask for them by name

Doc, Dan and Tom know the case.

Reviewers keep naming the same three staff. Doc will walk you through a pipe you’re considering and hand you something to smoke it with. Dan and Doc together have been called “the epitome of bearded gentlemen” by one customer, which is either high praise or a fair warning. Tom’s good for a tobacco suggestion outside your usual, and more than one customer has ended up glad they took it.
